This book, although my usual genre choice of crime, was selected for me by someone else. Having read the blurb, I was intrigued by the story and thought it had an interesting premise, something different to the usual books of this genre I had already read.
And throughout the story, the blurb was proved right. The twists and turns were unpredictable and led me to an ending which I didn’t see coming until the author had wanted me to.
Alongside this, it had an element of witchcraft which was not overbearing to the story but added a hint of history and interest to a book whose genre is very competitive.
