This is a stunning follow up to Noughts and Crosses, and the second in the original trilogy.
The story follows on from the events of the last book, but unlike some second novels it still had a plot that felt purposeful.
I found this more interesting than the last as it continued to explore the reactions of Callum’s loved ones. In particular, I think the development of Jude’s character and his relationships were the most interesting and provoked a lot of thought as you were reading.
The final book of the original trilogy is Check Mate – I am sure it will be as compelling as the first and second!
