I usually love a crime book – this did not disappoint! The opening chapter alone was gripping; after reading it I was sucked into the story which didn’t release me until the very end.
In Lullaby, we see a modern French family tackle balancing work and home life by employing a nanny for their children. However, sinister things begin to happen and start to have an impact on their lives in a way they didn’t expect.
I was kept guessing throughout the book as to what was/would happen – but didn’t see the ending coming! At first, it left me frustrated as I didn’t expect it…but I found myself constantly thinking about it, which is a sign of a great book!
