The Unwitchy Witch – Tom Cooney

Stars: ***

I absolutely love Halloween – it’s my favourite time of the year – so this book was a really lovely read!

Arabelle is still learning magic (alongside going to school!) and isn’t sure if she wants so be a witch like her mum…she thinks she would rather be a wiz on the computers like her dad. Her parents are finding it hard to agree what’s best for her, and her sister Luna, too!

During this book, Arabelle takes the time to find her own mind and decide what path she thinks is best for her, as well as discovering more about her relationship with her sister.

This would be perfect for children from year 2 – year 5 as an introduction into chapter books!
