Migration – Mike Unwin

Stars: *****

I loved this beautifully illustrated non-fiction book.

Each double page spread focused on a different animal and its migration pattern, which was accompanied by a detailed, stunning picture. Each explanation tells the reader where the animal migrates to, describes how they make the journey along with why they do it. Finally, we discover what happens once their migration is complete.

The animals we learn about vary from the straw-coloured fruit bats of Africa who move to find fruit, to turtles who migrate from Brazil to the Ascension Islands in order to breed.

Each animal has their own interesting story packed with facts; a book to learn from while you love reading it!
