Why are all of these SO hard? Choosing just six covers is tricky SO I’ve picked ones that I currently have in my TBR pile!
I am one of those people who will wander round Waterstones plucking books off the shelf just based on their cover alone. There’s no rhyme or reason to it either – some covers just stand out to me on that day. I could look at the exact same shelf the next day and other covers will shout out to me; it’s all based on mood!
So, based on my current mood today and what’s sat in my TBR pile, here are my top 6:
1) Oh My Gods – Alexandra Sheppard

Bright, bold and exciting this cover stands out on any shelf!
2) Breathe – Sarah Crossan

I love a dystopia-style book and this cover screamed out at me for that reason!
3) Charlie Changes into a Chicken – Sam Copeland

It’s glittery, it’s shiny, it has orange sprayed edges. Plus, I loved the previous two!
4) Pine – Francine Toon

Simple, clean but draws your eye in. Plus, a ‘signed by the author’ sticker is always a welcome sight on a cover!
5) Orphans of the Tide – Struan Murray

There’s so much detail on this cover which gives you an inkling about what the story will be about. I’m already captured by the tale…
6) Big Bones – Laura Dockrill

I saw this on the shelf and put it straight in my basket without even reading the back. Then, when I did read the blurb, I wasn’t disappointed. This looks like a brilliant story.
And there you have it! If you asked me again tomorrow I suspect my favourite covers of the day would be very different!
Currently Reading: Jungledrop – Abi Elphinstone
