#SixforSunday – Stranded on an Island

You’ll notice, I’m sure, that it is not Sunday. I missed the mark this week with a busy weekend involving a hen do and a visit to the Tower of London! I didn’t want to miss one though, especially when it’s such a fun topic!

Deciding what characters I’d like to be stranded with was MUCH easier than some of the other challenges we’ve had so far! I wonder if any of my choices are the same as yours would be?

1) Draco Malfoy (Harry Potter)

No, not Harry! Draco was always my favourite character (yes, I’m in Slytherin!) and I’d choose him to be on my island. I’d befriend him and duh, he can do magic. We wouldn’t be stranded for long!

2) Peeta Mellark (Hunger Games)

He is a nice guy, who still manages to survive by being genuine. I think he’d be an ideal desert island candidate.

3) Willy Wonka (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)

He will create some delicious treats that will keep us full and happy for as long as we are on the island.

4) Elizabeth Bennet (Pride and Prejudice)

She’s a strong, feisty character and I think we’d get on when we have to spend lots of time together. She’d have good insights into our predicament.

5) Professor Robert Langdon

I find symbols so fascinating so I’d never run out of decent conversation on the island. Plus he’s got himself out of some definite scrapes before, so he might even help us off the island.

6) Christian Grey

Just gonna leave this picture here which is reason enough.

I realised after creating this list that they all happen to be characters from books, which have also become films. Not sure if this is because the characters have become personified more through this, or whether I just happen to love characters from books which have become very commercially popular…
