I know some people will be shaking their heads at the Christmas aisles in supermarkets, but after the year we’ve had I am fully ready to celebrate the festive season for the entirety of winter!

Billy and the Balloons landed on my doorstep and started my Christmas season nice and early; it’s a beautifully illustrated (by Patrick Corrigan) tale of Billy who ends up flying when he grabs hold of a bunch of balloons.

Not only do lots of people (and animals!) try and help Billy down, but he ends up having to help a certain someone himself! Santa’s reindeers are too tired to fly, so might Billy have the perfect solution?

This magical story will have children excited for a visit from Father Christmas himself; they’ll enjoy following Billy’s story and wish they could help Santa out too! Patrick’s gorgeous illustrations really bring the tale to life and have a really merry feel about them.

I am definitely in the Christmas mood after this one! 🎄
