I am a HUGE Halloween fan so any creepy book is right up my street! Theodora Hendrix is an orphan who is raised by a family who are a little different from what you would expect!

Her family have managed to keep themselves secret for years…but now someone is threatening to reveal them and Theodora must work fast to save her family and the life she’s always known.

This is a funny, enchanting book full of mishaps, magic and mayhem. Theodora is a fearless main character who lives with an entertaining family; they show that monsters don’t always have to be the heartless creatures they’re expected to be!

Sherman the tarantula (my favourite!) offered sage advice, while Mummy made Theodora clean her room for guests – all the makings of a true family.

Each character has been captured fantastically in the illustrations which add so much to the story! This is definitely a tale kids will love to read over the half term!
