As someone who has always been inept at budgeting and understanding managing money, this book is something I was really excited to read. Growing up, my parents made sure I never went without what I needed whilst still making me work for my own cash for what I wanted, yet somehow I approached adult life without having a concept of saving or financial security.
Having just bought a house alone, I did eventually learn this lesson. It was a late one, however. I could have been in this situation much sooner if I had learnt to manage it better as a teen!

The Seven Dollar Millionaire – who wrote this book – are a group of financial enthusiasts who make learning about money accessible and engaging. Often money is still a taboo subject to discuss when it comes to our own bank balances; this group make talking about finance go from being an overlooked subject to a go-to discussion.
‘Happy Ever After’ is a book is centred around making financial security make sense and being financially literate accessible to everyone; it doesn’t have to be a fairy tale!
Full of short pieces of information and chapters which are easy to process, this is a brilliant book which will talk you through the steps. Alongside this, there are some helpful, detailed diagrams and illustrations which really enhance the reading experience! It was written in a way which was easy to understand – all the jargon was explained or simplified and therefore, was easy to follow.
This is a book I would recommend to anyone who feels that they – or their children – need a new, or more positive, view of finance!
