Otis and Jagger have always been on the outside of cool within their class – and they don’t mind. They have their own fun weekend planned and don’t need to be involved in the coolest party of the year. But when Rocco invites them last minute to the epic sleepover planned for his 11th birthday, Jagger – much to Otis’ dismay – accepts without hesitation.

Things don’t go quite to plan, and when Otis wakes up the next morning after a fantastic sleepover full of chocolate fountains and ball pits he doesn’t expect the scene of mayhem which he finds before him. And he certainly isn’t prepared for the wedding dress he’s wearing! Not only has he lost his memory of how an inflatable sausage and donkey arrived at the house, everyone else has, too.

There’s only one question that needs answering: what happened last night?

This was a hilarious adventure that will have you lol’ing as you read. Green is a master of creating funny adventures – think Bridesmaids for kids! I especially loved that this story had a twist that had me shocked – I did not see it coming!

I loved following the adventure of a group of misfits who need to discover what they have to offer to each other. Not only do we see the development of the physical journey they’re on, but we also see the emotional one, too. Each of the characters shows a vulnerability that children reading this story will be able to relate to. There are some really strong themes of acceptance and friendship.
